Wow! Thanks for the information! There is just so much to learn! I find it overwhelming and thrilling all at the same time:) I have noticed that people who are raw have beautiful skin! I am so excited about that side effect! I have lived in FL for 25 years and spent way too many hours in the sun and haven’t always been a huge fan of sunscreen so now I am suffering the consequences and I have sunspots on my face. I am hoping the raw diet may help this a little bit??? Maybe not, but I am hoping!
I just had a drink the other day of cacao, goji berries and cherries, it was just slightly warm, YUM! it was sooo good! I can’t wait to get to the store so I can get the stuff to make it at home! It was really delicious!
So I just recently had the privelage of watching “Supercharge Me!” and I absolutely LOVED it! I have to say it was an awakening to say the least. I loved seeing Jenna’s interviews and the various reasons why they are chosing/exploring the raw food diet. Riley Forbes was one of my favorites! She was such a dynamic speaker! Her example of how her life revolves around food and how she is setting herself a goal of 70% raw so she doesn’t feel remorse if she can’t be 100% raw out in the real world (out of the center) is exactly the type of attitude I want to take myself. My life is also centered around food, weekly family dinners, dinners out, etc. Not to mention I love food and there are just certain little things that I won’t be able to completely give up (yet), but setting that perspective for yourself is a wonderful plan, so you don’t guilt yourself right out of something that will help you so immensely! I am a newby to the world of raw foods so that attitude will definitely help me! It can be a difficult transition (especially if your not a planner and don’t really like to go to the grocery store!) I am constantly trying to figure out how I can incorporate more raw into my diet, I am making baby steps, but I am trying:)
I hope everyone else enjoyed it as much as I did!

Hi! I am enjoying reading your blogs:) I am interested to know, you seem to have some pretty good background of raw foods and prep. What are some good staples for a beginner raw foodist to stock my kitchen with? I get the obvious fresh fruits and veggies, its the different types of seeds, and oils, etc that I don’t know what there purpose is, or where to get them:) I was hoping you could share some personal experience about what you thought was the easiest in your beginning.
Hello! I am a newby attempting to make some transitions into the raw world:) I don’t think I am ready for a complete transition yet, but I am trying to make some changes that will be “on the right path”. My goal is to have juice/smoothie in the morning, juice and a salad at lunch, and then try and start eliminating meat and dairy from my diet in general. Anyone have advice on the best type of juicer to buy? I have heard Green Star is the best, but they have a hefty price tag:) Same with a blender, I keep hearing about a Vita Mix, but again, hefty price tag. Any key elements that I should be looking for?
Would love to hear people’s opinions on the matter:)
